Art Resource Library

Our Art Resource Library is unlike any other library in Collier County. The collection includes 2,400 books, 150 videos and DVDs, and 12 art magazine subscriptions. A highlight is a collection of copies of Leonardo da Vinci’s “Madrid Codices” workbooks that are leather-bound, certified special editions. We have books about famous artists, artistic technique, art appreciation and art history, among other subjects.

Head Librarian Patricia Treusch, an artist who has volunteered to run the library since it opened in 1998, has grown the collections soley through donations, building relationships with art association members and other patrons in the community who often contribute their personal items. Patricia also conducts an annual book sale and smaller periodic book sales to raise funds for the magazine subscriptions.

There are many dedicated volunteers who help our guests on their library visits, whether they are looking for inspiration to create their own work of art or to research the biography of a famous artist.

The library is open to the public during regular Art Center hours, and NAA members may borrow items for use at home.
