About:
The Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) with support from the City of Naples, the CVB, and eBella magazine will be attempting a Guinness World Record with the world’s largest display of toy pinwheels. The shimmering blue and silver public art installation will be in the form of a giant flower pot with a hug daisy-like flower made up of 4,000 pinwheels.
In addition, the gifted sand sculptor, Dan Duling, is flying in from South Dakota to make one of his massive works of art. To enhance the artfulness of the day, the CAC is hoping to have a few local artists with their easels on site, painting the pier, pinwheels, people, birds, seashells, or whatever fits the beach/children/pinwheels blue sky theme. There’s no charge for the artist’s participation, and of course, artists may hand out postcards or cards if they like. Artists may donate the piece they are painting, or not. The CAC will supply a donation bucket for anyone who wants to support the cause.
