Emerging Talents: Student Spotlight Exhibition

All students who have taken a class or workshop at Naples Art during the 2019-20 class sessions (October 2019 to the present) are invited to submit one artwork completed during the class session time period for the Emerging Talents: Student Spotlight Exhibition awards judging and jury process. Membership in Naples Art is not required for participation. The non-refundable entry fee is $5.

Third on Canvas 2020 – A Juried Fresh Paint Event

When:  Feb. 23 & 24, 2020
Where: Naples Art, Frederick O. Watson Gallery

Each February in Naples, artists paint the wonderful buildings, original cottages, fountains, plazas, and courtyards of the Third Street South area including the beaches, the Pier, Crayton Cove and the City Docks which surround it. Just days later their freshly created artworks are exhibited, awards are assigned, and the art is auctioned to the highest bidders to benefit a local non-profit and the artists. Artists create one original work of art outdoors for the fundraising auction. Each artist is free to choose the subject matter, media and technique that best represents their own style. Deadline to Enter: Nov. 27, 2019.

An Exhibition and Fundraiser By and About Women

Touchable Art Exhibition

When:  October 4th-30th, 2019
Where:  Naples Art, 585 Park Street in Naples

Art is generally considered to be a visual experience, but our appreciation of art does not need to come purely from sight. Touching is a basic instinct and a way to experience objects, gather information and build awareness. The Touchable Art exhibition will feature artwork by sighted, visually impaired and blind artists. Shaking off the traditional gallery-goer behavior, visitors are encouraged to use their sense of touch to explore the exhibition.

America: What it Means to Me

Revel in the beauty of America: its people, places, history, traditions. American means many things to many people. What does it mean to me? Deliver one exhibit-ready artwork on Oct. 14, 2019 between 12 noon and 4 pm.

WaterWorks: Artistic Celebration of Our Most Vital Resource

This exhibition has anything and everything to do with water: boating, fishing, shells, beaches and more. The 53rd Founders Exhibition

The 53rd Founders Juried Awards Exhibition is an art exhibition open to 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional artwork by artists residing in the United States. Founders exhibitions are a long-held tradition honoring the artists who came together in 1954 to create Naples Art, the first non-profit visual arts organization in Collier County, Florida. Founders exhibitions serve as a platform for local artists to share the spotlight with their peers at the national level. For artists from outside Florida, Founders exhibitions provide the opportunity to demonstrate success, compete for cash prizes totaling $3,500 and exhibit their art in Naples, Florida.

Beauty of Collier County

When:  Nov. 15, 2019 – Jan. 17, 2020
Where:  North Collier Regional Park Exhibit Hall

Beauty of Collier County is an exhibition of 2-dimensional artwork inspired by Collier County Parks. The exhibition will be installed in the North Collier Regional Park Exhibit Hall, 15000 Livingston Road from November 15, 2019 through January 17, 2020. The Exhibit Hall has walk-in traffic as well as attendees for meetings and events. Artists are invited to enter one or two original 2-dimensional artworks depicting or relating to Collier County Parks.

Little Things: An Exhibition Celebrating Small Works

Daydreams: Fantastical Wanderings of the Brain

The possibilities are endless when artists use daydreams as their inspiration. Mind wandering, fantasy and spontaneous thoughts all lend themselves to some very creative artwork.

Jade N. Riedel Scholarship Competition

When:  April 10- April 30, 2020
Where:  Naples Art, 585 Park Street in Naples

Naples Art produces and directs the annual Jade N. Riedel Scholarship Program which is open to juniors and seniors attending Collier County High Schools. Scholarships for art classes at the college level are awarded by Naples Art and The Ringling College of Art and Design.
