Widening Horizons: Artists at Work in Collier County’s Parks Exhibition
Widening Horizons: Artists at Work in Collier County’s Parks Exhibition will feature 28 original artworks by Southwest Florida artists depicting parks and nature preserves in Collier County. The exhibition will be on display now through May 16, 2019 in the North Collier Regional Park Exhibit Hall and Community Room located at 15000 Livingston Road in Naples. This is a partnership with Collier County Parks & Recreation.
The sunny skies and verdant landscapes in Southwest Florida are favorite subjects for plein air painters. For decades artists have come to Southwest Florida to paint its beaches, nature preserves and parks.
The artists exhibiting in Widening Horizons participate in the Thursday Outdoor Painters group. The informal group meets at a different location each week. Painting commences at 9 am and continues until around noon when, after an intense morning of painting, the group retreats to a local restaurant for lunch and a lively conversation about art. New artists are always welcome.
The Widening Horizons exhibition is organized by the Naples Art Association (NAA). Artwork is courtesy of the artists.
