Gary e. Armstrong
Recently relocated to Naples from Northern New Jersey. A College and University Visual Art Professor for 30 years. Armstrong attended the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Art, receiving a painting certificate in conjunction with his BFA in Painting from the University of Pennsylvania. Moreover, after his Military obligation during the Vietnam war, he received his MFA at the American Bauhaus school Cranbrook Academy of Art.
Armstrong has studied with such internationally recognized artist as Piero Dorazio, Roswell Weidner, Will Barnett, and Neil Weliver. While obtaining his Master’s Degree, he was an assistant to George Ortman, director of the painting department at Cranbrook.
Armstrong’s paintings express originality and uniqueness; he is the only artist in the world to have had a piece of his art placed on the surface of the moon.
