In this half-day course, students will learn about the historical and sociological aspects of visual arts and their influence on cultures throughout Latin America, Europe, and Hispanic communities within the United States, as well as the value they represent in elevating societies overall.

This half-day workshop presents the opportunity to learn about the traditions of Hispanic culture celebrated around the world during Día de los Reyes! This art-making event will be led by Maria Castillo Fuertes, a local artist originally from Puerto Rico, and will include creating decorative boxes through painting, carving, and mixed media. Traditionally, these boxes are placed at the bedside on the eve of Día de los Reyes.

This session within the lecture series features special guests Amy Morales and Orlando Acosta.

In this half-day workshop, students will learn about traditions celebrated around the world honoring the legend of La Catrina through an art-making experience.
